Dr. Nancy Kunkel

Dr. Nancy Kunkel was educated at Mundelein College of Loyola University in Chicago and the Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she received her doctorate in clinical psychology.

Dr. Kunkel’s primary treatment modalities include brief, solution focused, and cognitive-behavioral approaches. She has specialized in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents, and families for decades. She takes an active, practical, goal-oriented, skill-building approach to working with children and their parents. Consults with parents, school personnel, and other caregivers are done regularly to aid in the development of more productive “lifestyle” habits, coping skills and routines.

Dr. Kunkel has lectured extensively on issues such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Anxiety disorders in children and adolescents, and Asperger’s Disorder.

Dr. Kunkel additionally focuses on women’s issues. Her primary concentrations include relationships, stress, anxiety, depression, abuse, eating disorders and post-partum issues.

Dr. Kunkel is an active member in her faith community and is the mother of three children.
